The Nautilus Elliptical E628, a front-driven elliptical crosstrainer, combines all the advantages of its predecessors 624 and 626, but also offers some extensions and facilitations. The unique selling point of both equipment versions is identical: The E628 elliptical trainer is also height-adjustable.

The differences in brief and in advance: The height adjustment of the Elliptical E628 works electronically (instead of manually), it has 29 programs and 32 resistance levels, has a USB connection and Bluetooth, and the heart rate is measured using hand sensors or the included chest strap for wireless data transmission.

29 programs are available: twelve profile programs with preset resistance sequences, for example mountain profile or interval training; nine heart rate programs, four of which are for beginners, four for advanced, and one custom program; four user profiles; two fitness tests-one for beginners, one for trained; a "recovery test" that measures the degree of recovery, and finally Quick Start for the immediate start of the workout.

The Nautilus E628 elliptical trainer has an electronic incline adjustment from 0% to 11%; this allows the load on the joints to be adjusted or reduced to suit the individual's level of training, while at the same time intensifying the muscular work. The stride length is 50,8 centimetres, thanks to the high running smoothness the track system runs smoothly and precisely - The powerful damping system Suspension Adjust allows a frictionless running and thus prevents fatigue during training. Three variations when adjusting the angle of the pedals allow several muscle groups to be addressed and stressed. An induction brake regulates the pedalling resistance.

Three wide feet in connection with the solid frame provide a safe stand (the E628 is GS-approved). There are castors recessed in the front foot, and the exercise machine can be easily moved with the help of a handle integrated in the frame. The large pedals feature anti-slip protection.

In the center of the control console is the 3x5 inch LCD display, a smaller 1x5 inch display shows all important data if the main display should be covered by a tablet, book or smartphone during the workout. User comfort is served by the bottle cage, the three-speed fan, the sound system to which the MP3 player can be connected, and a USB port for transferring workout data via Bluetooth to the Nautilus Trainer app or to the MyFitnesspal app. This way, the training progress is logged and documented.
