Hardtails are mountain bikes - whether motorized or non-motorized - with suspended as well as damped fork and rigid rear. The stiffer hardtail bike has less weight due to the simple suspension and is less prone to failure due to the simple mechanics. It is suitable for forest trails and easy terrain. The power transmission without rear wheel damping is more efficient and the fixed rear creates a coherent driving feel. In addition, hardtails E-MTBs are cheaper to buy than fullys.

Difference between Hardtail and Fully E-MTB
Mountain bikes are divided into two variants: Hardtails and Fullys. In hardtails, only the fork is suspended, the rear is rigid. On the other hand, both the fork and the rear are suspended and damped on fulls. Fullys are more suitable for heavy terrain and jumps due to the double suspension.
It should not be ignored that mountain bike suspensions and damping are technically complex components. The more complex a mechanism turns out, the easier it is to damage or malfunction. Hardtail E-MTBs are not only cheaper to buy, but also to maintain.
E-Hardtails in everyday use
E-mountain bikes are popular with both men and women, and in order to meet the different demands, models with a lowered top tube and smaller frame and wheels can also be found among the e-mountain bikes. Here, manufacturers have quickly responded to the different needs of women and men. Unlike e-fullys, e-hardtails can be easily retrofitted with a mudguard, luggage rack and side stand and are thus also suitable for everyday use with so-called all-road equipment. Thus, e-mountain bikes quickly become e-bikes suitable for everyday use and are not only suitable for the trail in the forest, but also for commuters.
