Strength Training

Shaping the body and optimal fitness - strength training

The importance of well-developed muscles for a healthy body is elementary, especially in today's sedentary times. Strength training is about more: more muscles, more strength and more power. Instead of long sessions at a moderate load, it's about pushing yourself to your performance limit (and beyond), that's simply efficient.
With our professional fitness equipment, we offer you the right equipment here to get to your dream body.

Strength training - the perfect equipment for healthy muscle growth

Strength training has many different faces - it can be performed slowly and calmly, guided on the right machines or with powerful dynamics. This is precisely what makes strength training so useful in everyday sporting life and makes it ideal for building muscle both on its own and as supplementary training. This guide explains what exactly strength training is, how it can be done at home or in the gym and how our wide selection can help athletes achieve their goals.

What exactly is strength training?

The definition of strength training is often somewhat vague, as in practice it often cannot be completely separated from endurance and movement training. Muscle strength in the legs is improved during squats with a barbell, for example, but also during jogging and sprinting. So when we talk about purely increasing muscle strength, we cannot clearly define strength training. Nevertheless, we all have a clear idea of what strength training looks like in the gym or at home. In training theory, the term maximum strength is often used to clearly describe strength training: If we think of the strength maximum (the greatest possible load that the muscles can perform), we speak of strength training from half of the strength maximum. It all sounds very technical, but the example is very simple: athletes who lift 100 kg on the bench press start strength training from 50 kg on the barbell. All exercises before that are more for strength endurance, dynamics or mobility. This complexity only describes what we all instinctively know. Strength training is training with heavy weights and is used for targeted muscle building. Supercompensation is important for this, where exercisers slowly increase the training load in order to create new stimuli. And this is exactly where we come to flexible strength training equipment. From compact home gyms to bicep trainers and barbells, strength training requires equipment that grows with its challenges.

The different types of equipment - how athletes surpass themselves

Which equipment and accessories athletes use and prefer depends on various factors. These include not only individual goals, but also space and budget. Dedicated equipment for training individual muscles is ideal for a gym, but takes up too much space at home. Free weights are very flexible, but also require additional full or half racks and mats to make full use of this flexibility. Our overview shows the most important equipment and accessory categories.

Studio equipment - professional, durable, robust

Special equipment for the gym is specialized. Leg curls, curls and abdominal presses are not combined here, instead there is a separate machine for each exercise. These machines are in the high-price segment, but can last for years or decades with high levels of use. Such equipment is hardly suitable for home use, as there is unlikely to be enough space available. Classic gym equipment includes the leg press and incline bench, for example.

Power tower, multistation and multigym - flexible solutions for smaller studios

Strength towers with cable pull and additional benches are a great solution for smaller studios and rehab practices. Several athletes can train here at the same time and a large number of exercises can be performed. The free cable pulley also guarantees ideal integration of the core and joints and progressive resistance. These are professional solutions for the highest demands.

Racks - the perfect complement to the barbell

If you love barbell training, you should definitely use a rack. These robust racks allow the barbell to be placed flexibly, making them convenient to use for shoulder presses or squats. Athletes who really want to work close to their maximum strength need a rack for a healthy barbell rack. Power and half cages also belong in this essential accessory category for ambitious weight training.

Home gym - compact and versatile

Home gyms or power stations are ideal for home use. These combine different pieces of equipment with each other, and the tension that moves the weights is set before each exercise. For example, one piece of equipment can be both a chest and leg press, butterfly and latissimus pull. These compact weight stations are ideal for hobby rooms, garages or the smallest studios and can be used as training equipment for the whole body. If you simply want to train at home in a comparatively small space, these professional machines meet the highest demands.

Accessories - weight training thrives on growth

Finally, the accessories should also be right to round off your strength training. Weight plates and dumbbells need the right support, training with weights and heavy equipment need appropriate protective mats for the floor.

The perfect strength training for healthy muscle growth

Strength training needs weights, strength training needs equipment and strength training needs a varied training plan. Our store therefore offers a wide range of different equipment for all muscle groups to meet the demands of a gym as well as the requirements of home training. From bodybuilding to functional training to CrossFit, strength training gets better from session to session with so much choice.
