The frame forms the cornerstone and is the basic element of your bike. Of course, not all components can always be combined with all frames, here you should not go alone to work without the necessary expertise.
Depending on the intended use - whether for the road or off-road - there are different frames in different frame sizes and designs and in different price ranges. This can be a hip hardtail frame, a road bike frame for fast road sprints or a downhill bike frame with decent suspension at the rear.

Whether titanium, carbon or aluminum - each material has its certain properties.
A titanium frame, for example, convinces with its impact resistance, low weight and the fact that corrosion has no great chance. Such a frame also costs more, but the investment in a nice titanium frame can be worth it!
Carbon is becoming more and more popular in the field of bicycle frames. They convince with their light weight and stiffness, but are also much more sensitive. The carbon fibers do not easily put away blows. A fall, a crack in the material and the frame can probably be booked as a total loss.
The aluminum frame is considered the classic choice. Today, there is also in the aluminum frame area great progress, which concerns the weight optimization. Some light aluminum frame can keep up with the weight of a "heavier" carbon model. Thus, the aluminum frame evlt. only minimally more in weight, but offers a price advantage and some drivers a better feeling - this is a matter of taste. Carbon frames do not have so many fans for nothing. The manufacturers are constantly optimizing here to reduce frame weights while ensuring stiffness and stability.
