NEXT CHAPTER. LEAVE THE VALLEY BEHIND. The name ALTO has been part of our racing bike range since 2018. ALTO is a modified version of the Italian/Spanish word for high up and is intended to reflect our use as a mountain bike in the name. Together with our third participation in the Tour de France, we also presented the third new edition of the REVELATOR ALTO. The development work was based on feedback from our professionals and the experience gained from the toughest bike races in the world. In addition, the new ALTO frame underwent the toughest test phase in KTM history. The pre-production prototypes were already sent to the Hell of the North and received their baptism of fire on the Paris-Roubaix pavé. At the same time, the perfect aerodynamics were honed in the wind tunnel. The final values confirm both the ideal climbing characteristics and the low aerodynamic drag of the ALTOS in black and white. The French mountain specialist Pierre Rolland rode the new ALTO frame into the mountain jersey of the Dauphiné Tour straight away. The journey of the first series frames led from Mattighofen, via Copenhagen, to the Champs-Élysées in Paris.
