Welcome to the Concept2 BikeErg, the latest addition to our product range. The BikeErg features the same fan and Performance Monitor as the Concept2 Indoor Rower and the SkiErg. It therefore offers the same functions and benefits that rowers and cross-country skiers have come to appreciate.

The BikeErg uses air resistance generated by the flywheel. This resistance mechanism ensures a smooth, responsive and quiet ride. The air damper adjustment on the BikeErg works just like the gear system on a bicycle. You can decide for yourself how the resistance feels. Unlike most exercise bikes, the BikeErg is equipped with a freewheel, just like a normal bicycle. When you stop pedalling, the fan continues to turn.

The Performance Monitor allows you to customise your training and provides instant feedback during your session with a wide range of display modes. You can use it to measure your performance precisely, monitor your progress and compare your performance metrics with others.

Features

Performance Monitor

The Performance Monitor sets the Concept2 BikeErg apart from other machines. It allows you to accurately measure your performance, track your progress and compare your performance metrics with others. The Performance Monitor displays your performance in terms of speed, average time over 1,000 metres, cadence (rpm), watts or calories for each training session and saves this information either to the internal memory or to an optional USB stick. The Performance Monitor supports wireless heart rate monitoring via ANT+ and Bluetooth, as well as the free Concept2 app, ErgData, third-party apps and participation in our online challenges. The BikeErg does not require an external power supply. The PM5 requires two D-cell batteries. The rotation of the fan provides power to the monitor during training to extend the battery life

Flywheel and air flap

The BikeErg is fitted with the same fan as the Indoor Rower or SkiErg. As the air resistance on the fan only increases when you apply force, you always remain in control of the workload. The air damper allows you to control the airflow to the fan during your workout. The air damper setting on the BikeErg works like the gear system on a normal bicycle: a low air damper setting is comparable to a low gear when cycling.

Adjustable saddle and handlebars

Both the handlebars and the saddle can be easily adjusted. The saddle height can be adjusted using our safe, tool-free system. The horizontal position and tilt of the saddle can be customised. The handlebars are adjustable both vertically and horizontally, offering three different riding positions.

Customise to your liking

Would you prefer your own BikeErg configuration? No problem: most standard bicycle parts can be easily fitted to the BikeErg. This means you can use your own handlebars, saddle or pedals.

Belt drive

The BikeErg does not use a chain, but a quiet belt drive. The self-tensioning belts extend the service life and reduce maintenance requirements.

Lightweight and portable

The BikeErg’s aluminium frame and built-in transport wheels make it both lightweight and easy to handle. Weighing just 26kg, it is lighter than most exercise bikes.

Easy assembly

The BikeErg is easy to assemble and comes with everything you need for assembly: the necessary tools and a simple, illustrated assembly guide.
