The power of air resistance
The StrengthErg is powered by Concept2’s tried-and-tested windmill technology, the intensity of which can be varied depending on the combination of air vane setting and the user’s effort. The reactive nature of the air resistance ensures that the resistance adapts to the user’s strength. A lower air vane setting – meaning less air resistance – makes pushing or pulling feel easier. A higher setting makes the workout feel harder.
Another advantage of reactive resistance is that the load changes in line with your strength curve throughout the movement. With conventional strength exercises, you can only load as much weight as you can handle at the weakest point of the movement – which is often not enough to effectively challenge the muscles during the stronger phase of the movement.
Three different stations
You can switch effortlessly between three basic positions, from which numerous variations and individual movements can be derived. You have the choice of either training with a few repetitions and high force, or performing many repetitions to improve your muscular endurance. The air valve setting can be adjusted quickly and easily to make the movement slower or faster – so you can find exactly the right balance of speed and strength for your workout.
Easy to use
The StrengthErg offers concentric training and enables controlled and efficient muscle strengthening. As the movement is guided, the machine is safe for everyone – regardless of their previous training experience. There is no risk of failing to complete a repetition or of getting ‘stuck under the bar’. This makes the StrengthErg ideal for a wide range of users who want to improve their strength or track their progress. The machine is also particularly practical when used by several people, for example during group training or circuit training: there’s no need to adjust the weights – simply step on and get started.
With PM5 and smartphone and tablet mount for ErgData
This option provides each user with individual, real-time feedback during their workout. The PM5 is particularly recommended for multi-user environments such as gyms, sports teams or families. In addition, everyone can use ErgData on their own device to access further metrics, log training histories and track their progress.
Compact and easy to transport
For a machine that enables a wide range of exercises and can withstand a load of over 540 kg, the StrengthErg is extremely compact. Measuring just 154 × 66 cm, it takes up very little space and weighs only 41 kg. Thanks to its transport castors, it can be moved easily around your home or gym.
