The aptly named Addict is getting a revamp this year to offer even more of everything you love about performance road bikes. To create the new Addict Premium, we’ve taken design elements and cutting-edge technologies that riders appreciate in racing bikes and toned them down to create a bike that’s still potent enough to enjoy fast laps and hard sprints – but one that doesn’t leave you feeling like a twisted pretzel after just 30 kilometres.

The Addict Premium’s geometry is slightly more upright and forgiving than that of race bikes, so you can cover the kilometres at your own pace – whether at a brisk pace or on a relaxed Sunday ride – without having to contort yourself into a long reach or a low stack. The engineers have designed the frameset to offer vertical compliance without compromising on power transfer and efficiency. Thanks to its 38-mm tyre clearance, the Addict also lets you enjoy rough roads. However, power is always on tap when you need it. The Addict Premium features our lightweight yet stiff HMX carbon lay-up for quick acceleration, effortless climbing and the characteristic, agile ride quality for which the Addict is renowned.

The Addict Premium takes you anywhere – however and for as long as you like. And if the ride ever gets too long for the bike, simply unpack the Save-The-Day kit, which includes an inner tube, tyre levers and a mini-pump. The Addict Premium is fitted with Shimano’s top-of-the-range Dura-Ace Di2 electronic 2x groupset, as well as fast and stable Fulcrum Wind 42 Disc wheelsets on Schwalbe PRO ONE tyres – for long distances at whatever pace you choose.
