The success story of this traditional manufacturer of bicycle saddles began in 1897 in the Italian village of Corisco, just outside Milan. SELLE ITALIA was originally founded to produce travel saddles for bicycles, as at that time cars were still a luxury and most people used bicycles as a means of transport. Until finally, in the 70s, the turning point came and the car had long since replaced the bicycle. SELLE ITALIA was successfully taken over by the Bigolin family and from then on, the company focused exclusively on cycling.
