The frame, wheels, cockpit and other parts have been designed, developed and tested to work optimally as a system. The brand new OverDrive Aero steerer technology is combined with a Contact SL AeroLight stem and Contact SL handlebars to allow internal cable routing, with the top cap, cables and spacers integrated in an aerodynamic, user-friendly setup.Thanks to a better stiffness-to-weight ratio than the previous generation, the new shape of the aero tubes and a lower overall weight, this uncompromising road bike offers explosive acceleration and unyielding pedalling stiffness. The result is race-winning performance in the decisive moments, with all tube shapes developed and designed using Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) modelling and wind tunnel testing. From the truncated elliptical shape of the frame tubes to a new cockpit design and component integration, it all adds up to a slimmer profile that significantly improves aerodynamics compared to the previous generation.
