Only Marathon Plus tyres make the bike puncture-proof. The 5 mm thick puncture protection even protects against tacks.
You can never completely rule out a puncture. However, with Marathon Plus tyres you are well protected against the typical puncture devils such as shards or granules. Always use a pressure gauge to adjust the air pressure on all Marathon Plus tyres. Due to the special construction, checking the pressure with your thumb is not sufficient.
